‘Taco Bell’ Coming to Brooklyn Park

A standalone Taco Bell is under construction in Brooklyn Park.

The fast-food chain currently operates alongside Long John Silver’s at 5501 Ritchie Hwy., but is building a new standalone restaurant in the shopping center located on the 5600 block of Ritchie Hwy.

The Taco Bell is one of several recent additions to the shopping center, joining new tenants Black Friday Daily Deals and Burger King.

New Water Sports Options in South Baltimore

South Baltimore residents and visitors have several new ways to get out on the water this summer. As part of the Baltimore Blueway initiative, a new kayak launch recently opened adjacent to Rash Field. Kayak rentals are available through Rent.Fun with rates starting at $25 for rentals of less than two hours.

Adjacent to the launch and near Rusty Scupper, B’More SUP opened a new location. The company offers stand-up paddleboard rentals, lessons, and events.

And, at Baltimore Yacht Basin near Nick’s Fish House in Baltimore Peninsula, people can now rent kayaks and pontoon boats through Akwatribe Riversports. Jet ski rentals are also available through SB Jet Ski Rentals.

A Castle for Coworking

The former Pabst Castle at 1834 S. Charles St. has been transformed into the newest location of The Pulse, a coworking company that has additional locations in Gaithersburg and Columbia.

The Pulse offers day passes, part-time memberships, and full memberships. Amenities include a communal kitchen, conference rooms, printing and scanning services, and networking events.

The building most recently served as the headquarters of ZeroFox before the cybersecurity company relocated to McHenry Row. The historic structure was originally built as a bottling plant for Pabst Blue Ribbon beer.
