Christos FC is bringing three of its 2026 United Soccer League Two (USL2) home matches to Under Armour Stadium this June. USL2 is a semi-professional soccer league and the third tier of the professional USL.

Christos FC will play three home games at Under Armour Stadium, while its other four home matches this season will be held at Retriever Soccer Park. The first match at Under Armour Stadium is scheduled for tonight at 7pm against Charlottesville Blues FC, with additional matches set for June 10 and June 17.

The team enters the match with a 2-2 record through its first four games of the season.

Christos FC General Manager Tarik Walker told SouthBMore.com the club is fielding a younger roster this year and is undergoing “a bit of a rebuild,” but said the organization is excited about its future.

The USL2 roster is composed primarily of college players, along with a handful of high school players, nearly all of whom are from the Baltimore region. While the team dresses 20 players and can play 18 on game days, Christos FC maintains a player pool of more than 50 athletes from which it can select throughout the season.

The team is coached by Mike St. Martin, who also serves as head coach of varsity soccer at Mount Saint Joseph High School. Walker is an assistant coach.

Game days at Under Armour Stadium feature pregame tailgates with food trucks, concessions, and a public-address announcer. General admission tickets cost $15. Children wearing soccer jerseys are admitted for free.

Walker said the club enjoys playing at Under Armour Stadium because it helps connect the team with Baltimore City and it attracts fans from downtown neighborhoods. He hopes growing the local support will help the organization continue its progression within American soccer.

Christos FC was founded in 1997 by the Haislip brothers to compete in the Maryland Major Soccer League. Seeking sponsorship, they partnered with Christos Discount Liquors in Glen Burnie, a relationship that continues nearly three decades later.

Today, the organization fields a Men’s Open team, as well as Over-30, Over-40, and Over-50 teams. Christos FC also operates a USL Academy training program and hosts a summer league for youth players.

The club’s Men’s Open team won national amateur championships in 2016 and 2018. In 2017, the team advanced to the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, earning a matchup against D.C. United.

Christos FC’s Over-30 team has won three national championships. And, the Over-50 team won a national title in 2024.

Christos FC alumni include MLS players Ben Bender, Jonathan Bell, and Taylor Calheira.

The Christos Discount Liquors store in Glen Burnie also serves as an unofficial trophy room for Christos FC, showcasing the many accomplishments the club has accumulated throughout its history.
