Vegan burger restaurant Slutty Vegan is moving its Baltimore location from Baltimore Peninsula to Cross Street Market in Federal Hill. Slutty Vegan closed its Baltimore Peninsula location this month and will move into a 2,000 sq. ft. fully-enclosed space on the Light Street end of the market that was previously Batter Up, Velleggia’s, and Rooster & Hen.

Slutty Vegan announced the move on social media and is planning its grand opening on August 1st.

Slutty Vegan is a concept by Baltimore Native Pinky Cole. Cole started Slutty Vegan out of her Atlanta apartment in 2018. She grew the business into a food truck and brick-and-mortar restaurant and now has multiple locations. The concept is also planning a location at the Johns Hopkins Hospital campus in East Baltimore.

Slutty Vegan’s menu includes four different burgers using a plant-based patty, a vegan Philly cheesesteak, a vegan pulled brisket sandwich, french fries, lemonades, slushies, sweet potato pie, and banana pudding.

“We are excited to have a high profile new tenant who will bring a lot of energy to the Market, along with replacing our formerly popular vegan stall,” said Arsh Mirmiran of Caves Valley Partners, the controlling partner of Cross Street Market. “We look forward to Slutty Vegan opening in the Market soon and have a few other pending announcements that will continue to bring the energy and traffic back to Cross Street Market.

The new Slutty Vegan location is one of several recent changes at Cross Street Market. Royal Deli will open tomorrow in the former Gangster Vegan stall. Jollof Bowl expanded to a larger stall in recent months in the former home of Gyroll, while DMV Empanadas recently closed. Taco Love Grill will close in October as it has a new McHenry Row full-service restaurant in Locust Point. The 62-year market staple Steve’s Lunch also announced it is looking to sell the business, but will remain open until the business is sold. Owner John Nichols is looking to find a successor and retire.
