ExpressCare by LifeBridge Health recently opened at 835 E. Fort Ave. at Southside Marketplace in Riverside/Locust Point. The 6,600 sq. ft. urgent care center occupies the space formerly home to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and PenFed Realty before the real estate brokerage relocated to Federal Hill.

ExpressCare operates more than 35 locations across Maryland, including centers in Southwest Baltimore and Brooklyn Park. The company recently opened another location in Hyattsville.

The new Southside Marketplace location is open daily from 8am to 9pm and offers treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, preoperative physicals, and on-site diagnostic services, including lab testing, same-day STD testing, and X-rays.

“Our continued growth reflects a simple mission: making exceptional urgent care more accessible for every community we serve,” said Jonathan Thierman, M.D., president of ExpressCare Urgent Care, in a press release. “By expanding our footprint to more than 35 locations across Maryland, we’re ensuring patients and families have convenient access to high-quality care without having to travel far from home.”

The addition of ExpressCare is one of several changes at the Regency Centers-owned Southside Marketplace in recent years. Recent openings include Giant, Advance Auto Parts, Five Below, Buffalo Wild Wings Go, Dirty Dough Cookies, Quickway Japanese Cuisine, Sparkling Charms Dental Studio, and Inspire Nail Bar.

RE Salon left the shopping center in May and reopened in Locust Point. Other recent closures include GNC and Lucky Nails. According to Regency Centers’ website, all three of the former tenant spaces are currently available for lease.
