Inspire Nail Bar opened this week at the Rye House apartment building at Baltimore Peninsula. Inspire is the first tenant in an approximately 3,800 sq. ft. space along the Rye Street side of the building.

The Baltimore Peninsula ownership group, comprising Sagamore Ventures and Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Urban Investment Group, along with Hines as its asset management partner, also announced that Yamada Kokoro Bakery recently signed a 1,400 sq. ft. lease in the courtyard of the Rye Street Market office building.

Yamada Kokoro is a Japanese bakery concept that will offer a variety of savory and sweet treats, as well as bubble tea, matcha, and fruit teas, to the courtyard at Rye Street Market.

Inspire features 18 full-service pedicure chairs and 18 nail stations.

“We’ve watched Baltimore Peninsula evolve into one of Baltimore’s most exciting neighborhoods, and we’re thrilled to become part of that momentum,” said Aaron Tran, owner of Inspire Nail Bar, in a press release. “Our goal is to create a welcoming place where residents, employees and visitors can slow down, recharge and enjoy a premium self-care experience.”

“Great neighborhoods are built by the everyday places that make life more convenient and enjoyable for the people who live, work and visit,” said Claudia Jolin, executive director of the Baltimore Peninsula Partnership, in a press release. “Inspire Nail Bar is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, offering another high-quality service that strengthens our growing waterfront community and makes it an even more inviting destination.”

Inspire Nail Bar and Yamada Kokoro Bakery are the latest retail tenants to join the Baltimore Peninsula development. Everbrook Academy and Urbano Mexican Fare opened over the summer.

Other dining options already open at Baltimore Peninsula include Ben & Jerry’s, Rye Street Tavern, Nineteen O’ Nine Whiskey Bar, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Daily Grind, Little Wing, and Vessel.

Additional restaurants planned to open later this year include Live-K Karaoke, Slurp Noodle Bar, Shinkansen Sushi, and Blü Cā. Eggspectation has also been announced for the development.

Slutty Vegan, which has since relocated to Cross Street Market, and Bar Vegan are no longer open at Baltimore Peninsula.

Additional retail and service tenants include M&T Bank, Strayer University, and Molly’s Dog Care. A branch of CFG Bank is also planned for Baltimore Peninsula.
