The Ravens are wrapping up a three-year, $489-million renovation of M&T Bank Stadium in partnership with the Maryland Stadium Authority.
New this year is the completion of the North Plaza on the north side of the stadium. The new Bud Light Talon building on the west side of the North Plaza features a 3,000-person, open-air music venue and bar that will be open on gamedays as well as for non-gameday events. The venue features two levels of concert viewing and several large LED video boards.
Frank’s RedHot Backstage is a new two-level indoor sports bar within the Bud Light Talon. It features food offerings, several bars, and a large video board that is approximately one-third the size of the stadium’s main video board. Frank’s RedHot Backstage will be open for select sporting event viewings. It has already hosted an MMA fight.
On the east side of the North Plaza is the completed Under Armour Landing building, which features an open-air, second-story bar and the Flock Shop team store. Both are open on gamedays and non-gamedays.
The stadium gates have been pushed north, creating the North Plaza gathering area between the two new buildings.
The Xfinity FlockYard was constructed on the northeast corner of the stadium inside the stadium gates. It features 20 private, climate-controlled “lofts” equipped with high-definition TVs, as well as a rooftop terrace with views of South Baltimore. The structure is centered around a communal courtyard and large video board. The Ravens describe FlockYard as a “first-of-its-kind” exterior suite in the NFL.
On the upper deck on the north side of the stadium, the concourse was extended to create the Overlook/Perch. The addition provides 7,000 sq. ft. of hospitality space with views of the city skyline. The bathrooms were also expanded int his area.
M&T Bank Stadium, which just hosted the Ravens home opener versus the New Orleans Saints yesterday, will host a soccer match between Colombia and Mexico next Saturday at 9pm. The stadium also hosted an international rugby match between South Africa and New Zealand last Saturday.
