Obituary: Kevin M Vaught, Sr. “ButterBean”
Kevin was a Police Cadet from 1981- 1983 followed by his dedicated service to the people of Baltimore as a Police Officer. He retired in 2015. During his time as a Policeman, Kevin made a substantial impact on the community and all he came in contact with. He is notably remembered for earning the Award for Heroism with a “V” for valor, when he selflessly entered a burning building and rescued the occupants.

South Baltimore may have a new post office, but area residents will no longer be able to pickup certified/registered mail, hold mail, and packages in the neighborhood. The pickups will now take place at the Brooklyn Curtis Bay Post Office at 10 16th Ave. in Anne Arundel County.

Pigtown and Union Square Now Eligible for Healthy Neighborhoods Renovation Grants and Rehab Loans
Pigtown and Union Square were recently added as the two newest neighborhoods eligible for Healthy Neighborhoods home improvement loans and grants, as well as purchase/rehab loans. Healthy Neighborhoods is a Baltimore-based nonprofit focused on stabilizing blocks in Baltimore’s “middle neighborhoods” through home ownership and home improvements.
