Home Chef has inked a lease at the new Harbor Logistics Center in Curtis Bay. Harbor Logistics Center is a 96-acre industrial development with up to 900,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and office space in three buildings at 1701 E. Patapsco St. It is a project by Kansas City’s NorthPoint Development.

Council Bill #20-0570, which could create the right of way for up to 28 new billboards along I-95, I-695, and I-895 on CSX land, has been “pulled back” by Baltimore City Council President Brandon Scott. The plan had letters of opposition from many groups along this corridor including the Riverside Neighborhood Association, Locust Point Civic Association, Citizens of Pigotwn, Pigtown Main Street, Friends of Garrett Park, and South Baltimore Gateway Partnership.

Commercial real estate brokerage Gold and Company brokered the deal. According to a statement, the new owner will demolish the existing structure and make site improvements including paving, lighting, and fencing for a long-term lease to a tenant in the automobile import/export business.

Port of Baltimore Sets Cargo Record in 2018

Maryland Fleet Week Kicks Off in Baltimore
Maryland Fleet Week and Air Show Baltimore kicks off today and runs through next Tuesday. The event takes place in Baltimore every two years and celebrates “the rich maritime traditions of the Chesapeake Bay and the contributions of Marylanders to the defense of the nation.” New this year will be a demonstration by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds during the the Baltimore Air Show. It will also include a festival at the Inner Harbor and 15 large vessels at the Inner Harbor.

Fairfield Industrial Property Sells for $1.6 Million, Leased to Automobile Business
A 5.5 acre piece of land at 1940 Chesapeake Ave. in the Fairfield Maritime District recently sold for $1.6 million. The property was a former manufacturing plant that closed more than 10 years ago.
