DPW says the cans have several advantages including their ability to confine litter and prevent it from overflowing, keep rodents away, and transmit data that lets DPW staff know when trash needs to be picked up. Smooth New Driving Surface Complete on Hanover Street Bridge

The long wait is over for a smooth new driving surface on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge, which is also known as the Hanover Street Bridge. Hanover Street Bridge Scheduled to be Paved This Weekend

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT) will make its third attempt to resurface the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge, also known as the Hanover Street Bridge, this weekend. Two previous attempts were postponed due to rain. The 0.4 mile bridge will be closed beginning on Friday, August 17th at 8pm and will reopen Monday, August 20th at 5am. DOT will also make structural improvements to the bridge this weekend.

The Baltimore City The Department of Transportation (DOT) is working to reschedule the project.

Study Recommends a $50-Million Rehabilitation of the Hanover Street Bridge

The Hanover Street Corridor Study has been completed and it recommends a $50-million renovation of the 102-year-old Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge, often referred to as the Hanover Street Bridge. Six options were considered in the study, including demolishing and replacing the bridge, rehabilitating the bridge, and building a separate bridge for pedestrians and cyclists.
