Hanover Cross Street is located at 101 W. Cross St. and is part of the $300+ million Stadium Square mixed-used development in the South Baltimore and Sharp-Leadenhall neighborhoods adjacent to Federal Hill.

With the current COVID-19 pandemic eliminating Kyle and Rose W.’s commutes to work, they decided to use the extra free time to get some exercise and walk every single residential block of the South Baltimore Peninsula. The Federal Hill residents, along with their dog Brooklyn, accomplished their goal in about 10 to 12 trips, racking up 50.76 miles in the process.

Coptic Orthodox Church St. Barnabas & St. Susanna (SBSS) will be taking over the historic church building at 938 S. Hanover St. in Federal Hill/Sharp-Leadenhall that was the former home to Sts. Stephen and James Evangelical Lutheran Church. SBSS purchased the building in recent weeks, has started renovations, and hopes to host its first service in January.

Last week, the South Baltimore Gateway Partnership (SBGP) announced $603,930 in new grants to support 26 community projects in South and Southwest Baltimore neighborhoods. Nearly a third of the recipients are new grantees. SBGP is a nonprofit which manages half of South Baltimore’s casino Local Impact Grants.
