Two New 7-Eleven Locations

The shopping center at the corner of Washington Blvd. and MLK Blvd. will now be fully leased with the news that 7-Eleven will be taking over the space vacated by a beauty store. The shopping center also includes a Zips Dry Cleaners, Tony’s Grill and Dollar General.

A 7-Eleven will also be taking over the space vacated by Quest on Washington Blvd. near Carroll Park.

Carroll Park Rec Center Renovation 

The rec center/field house at Carroll Park is currently undergoing a tear-down and rebuild. Local builder Plano Coudon has demolished the field house and  is currently working on rebuilding the facility. You can follow the progress on their Facebook Page.

Charm City Music Festival Moves to Carroll Park

The Charm City Music Festival, which premiered last year at Harbor Point, will be moving to Carroll Park this fall as Harbor Point is expected be under renovation for a new development at that time.  Last year the event featured Weezer, Flogging Molly and Stephen Marley. We’ll keep you posted when we have more details.

Additional Updates

-Fraternity Federal at 746 Washington Blvd. is now open on Saturdays.

-The Department of Transportation is putting the finishing touches on the road construction on Washington Blvd. near Montgomery Park.

-Paul’s Place has hired Sadie M. Smith as their new Director of Programs.

-The Spring into Good Health Festival will be held tomorrow on Saturday, April 13th at the corner of Washington Blvd.and Cross St.
