American Ninja Warrior Filming in Baltimore

NBC’s American Ninja Warrior will be filming this weekend on Friday, Satruday and Sunday at Rash Field in the Inner Harbor adjacent to the Baltimore Beach Volleyball courts.  All tickets for the event are sold out, but you can join the waiting list by going to this website.

Ameircan Ninja Warrior is a obstacle course competition series based on the hit show from the Tokyo Broadcast System titled “Sasuke.”  The show airs Saturdays at 8pm on NBC.

Rayzer’s Liquor License Under Protest

Rayzer’s at 13 East Randall St. in South Baltimore, which has been under new ownership since mid-2012, is under a protest of renewal. From the Board of Liquor License Commissioners for Baltimore City Docket:

1:00 p.m.  Naveen Gupta & Charles Uttenreither, Futureshine , LLC T/a Rayzer’s, 13 E. Randall Street – Class BD7 Beer, Wine & Liquor license – Protest of Renewal under Article 2B §10-301(a) by ten or more residents, commercial tenants who are not holders or applicant for any license issued under Article 2B, or real estate owners in the immediate vicinity of the licensed premises

You can watch the hearing live on Baltimore’s TV25 this Thursday at 1 pm.

Update 4/18:  The renewal of Rayzer’s license has been approved, but the liquor board has suspended the license for the first two weekends of June 2013.  During those weekends, Rayzer’s will need to close by 2pm on Friday and cannot reopen until Monday at 6am.

Bobabooi’s Treasure Chest Closes Shop

Bobabooi’s at 1028 S. Charles St. has closed their retail shop. According to their Facebook page they will still have game day stands in Federal Hill to sell their Orioles, Ravens and Natty Boh apparel and more.  The outside of the property is currently being repainted, so we’ll keep an eye out for updates on the location.

Update 4/16:  Thanks to some info directed to us from a couple of our readers, we’ve learned that Vanessa’s Vintage Treasures will be leaving their space at 1132 S. Charles. St. and moving to 1028 S. Charles by the first week of May.

Slight Changes at Langermann’s

Langermann’s on Light is changing ownership of their liquor license, but will remain under the same management team.  They have also requested to add outdoor table service.

Transfer at Good Times

Good Times at 2522 Washington Blvd., known as the family-owned bar of Baltimore City Councilman Edward Reisinger, has applied for a ownership transfer. Reisinger previously represented the South Peninsula before he was redistricted, but still represents areas like Morrell Park and Pigtown.  From the Baltimore City Liquor Board:
