In 2012, Magnum Construction renovated four dilapidated buildings, including ground-level retail and apartments above, on the 700 block of Washington Blvd. on Pigtown Main Street. The first retail tenant has now been secured at this location as 2 Chic Boutique will be opening at 761 Washington Blvd. A banner on the property reads, “Specializing in gently used and new designer clothing. Opening Late November 2013.”

Pigtown Pharmacy at 804 Washington Blvd. closed their doors in April, but a new convenience store is opening at this location.

The former home of Divine Inspiration of God Church, also on Main Street at 777 Washington Blvd., has also recently become available for lease. It’s listed on Craigslist for $785/month.

Tommy’s Downtown Tavern at 839 W. Cross St. has closed its doors as owner Tommy Fox will be moving to Tennessee. The business is still for sale, but there are several interested buyers according to Fox.

Federal Hill Updates

Stuggy’s, which specializes in gourmet hotdogs, has opened their doors in Federal Hill at 17 E. Cross St. They are the first new tenant to occupy one of the two new retail locations renovated by Caves Valley Partners in the former home of M&T Bank. Joining spots in Fells Point and Camden Yards, this is Stuggy’s third location. They will stay open late until 3 am on Thursday through Sunday.

Cottage Kidz Boutique at 1129 Light St. is temporarily closed for renovations, and will reopen on Friday.

Riverside and Locust Point Updates

Riverside Cafe at 1401 Riverside Ave. is temporarily closed for renovations.

The Sprint Store at Southside Marketplace is now open.

Elaine’s Brown Sugar opened their doors in Locust Point at 1400 Towson St. Elaine’s sells cupcakes as well as bagels, croissants, danishes, muffins, sandwiches, salads, drinks and coffee.
