photoDoggie Style, a pet store specializing in treats, toys, apparel, grooming and more at 1130 Light St. in Federal Hill will be closing their doors, but a new store will be reopening up the road. With the building under new ownership and its six-year lease coming to an end this month, Doggie Style was unable to come to an agreement on a new lease.

A new store called Pawtimore will open at 924 Light St. at the former home of Temps Now. Jessica Zell, who has been a groomer at Doggy Style for five years, will be opening Pawtimore along with business partner Robin Kraska.

The new store was described by Zell as “similar but different,” and will be about the same size as Doggy Style. The new property was part of a five-building renovation (916-924 Light St.) completed in April, which included the renovation of 10 apartments, two retail spaces, and the facade of Zeeba Lounge. The retail spaces have now all been leased as Hanna Nails and Spa recently opened at 920 Light St.

Doggie Style will be open through Tuesday, and they are having a 50% off sale until they close. Pawtimore will be open in about a month after light renovations are completed.
