Baltimore Beach Release:

Join Baltimore Beach & SouthBmore.com in cleaning trash from our park shorelines! We have joined with the Dept. of Rec & Parks, who will be providing certified staff and equipment for paddling and cleaning up all the rain leftovers from the shorelines of Middle Branch and/or Swann Park.

Rec & Parks will provide canoes and/or kayaks, life jackets, gloves, trash bags & trash pickers as well as a water jug for people to refill their water bottles with.
Arrive in closed toed shoes and comfortable clothes (that you don’t mind getting dirty). We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and a re-usable water bottle.

The Middle Branch of the Patapsco River is a haven for floating trash, caused by the runoff from the Gwynns Falls, which begins in Reisterstown and flows SE, much of it underground. Most of the trash collected includes plastic bottles, Styrofoam and plastic bags. Please help us clean our parks – we promise a great view from the water, exercise from paddling, and you’ll feel great after seeing what a group can accomplish together!

You MUST RSVP to participate in this event!

We’ll meet in Middle Branch Park (3300 Waterview Ave. 21230), just south of the Hanover Street Bridge.

You can also bring your own canoe or kayak!
