The Baltimore Station’s Stars, Stripes and Chow: Chili Edition with Cal Ripken This Saturday

ChiliAdOn behalf of its sponsorship of The Baltimore Station’s Stars, Stripes and Chow: Chili Edition fundraiser on Saturday, November 7, 2015, NewDay USA has secured an appearance by local baseball legend Cal Ripken Jr at the event. Ripken Jr will host a Q&A with attendees during the event and will announce the winners of the two chili competition awards—celebrity judge’s choice and fan favorite choice. The fundraising event offers an opportunity for guests to enjoy a chili cook-off competition in a family-friendly environment while supporting The Baltimore Station’s mission to provide an innovative therapeutic residential treatment program supporting veterans and others who are transitioning through the cycle of poverty, addiction, and homelessness to self-sufficiency.

WHAT: Stars, Stripes and Chow: Chili Edition—a fundraising chili cook-off competition with teams representing the five military branches, The Baltimore Station and first responders, an appearance by Cal Ripken Jr, a celebrity judging panel, live music by The Klassix, food from Mission BBQ, drinks provided by City Limits and a kid’s zone.

The celebrity judging panel will include former Baltimore Sun food critic Richard Gorelick, Admiral Thomas C. Lynch, Baltimore City Councilman Nick Mosby, Baltimore City Councilman Eric Costello, Fox45 Morning News Team anchor Tom Rodgers and owner of Station North Arts Café (SNAC) Kevin Brown.

WHEN: Saturday, November 7, 2015, 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

WHERE: Gameday Warehouse, 1400 Warner Street, Baltimore, MD 21230
