Back CameraHarborQue Moving to Federal Hill

After finding out their building would be demolished for a new Locust Point development, HarborQue has spent the last few months looking to secure a new location.  Their new home will be at the former spot of Kirby’s Szechuan at 1125 S. Charles St.  They are currently renovating the space and will be moving to their new Federal Hill location in August or September.  They will have a beer/wine license and will continue to be an order-at-the-counter restaurant.

Dirty Oars Tavern Opens

A sign on the side of nautical-themed Dirty Oars Tavern at 801 E. Fort Ave. reads, “Finally Open.”  The building has sat vacant since Lime closed several years ago and Dirty Oars has been in the works for many months. From their Facebook Page:

Dirty Oars Tavern provides a friendly atmosphere with specialty drinks, deli style food, and a lot of personality from the crew.

Brightside Boutique To Open in Fells Point

Fells Point continues to grow as a shopping destination as Federal Hill boutiques Babe, Zelda Zen and Curiosity have recently relocated there. Now, Brightside Boutique at 1133 S. Charles St. is opening a second location across the pond. From their Facebook Page:

Carousel Cleaners Opens in Pigtown

Carousel Cleaners of Towson has opened a second location on Pigtown Main Street at 788 Washington Blvd. at the former home of Gallery 788. From Pigtown Main Sreet’s Facebook Page:

The Yard Reopens 

The Yard has recently reopened at The Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards after four months of renovations.  In a statement from The Yards:

Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards is pleased to announce the re-opening of The Yard. After four months of renovations, the restaurant and bar has transformed into what might be the most authentic Baltimore restaurant in town. From an entirely new menu inspired by the Bay to a beverage program touting beers from Maryland’s top breweries and décor  showcasing the city’s most iconic landmarks, The Yard offers locals and visitors alike a genuine Baltimore experience only steps away from the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards.

The Yard is part of the True Blue program, offering dishes with real Maryland crabmeat like the Mini Crab Cakes with red pepper pesto. The kitchen also recycles the shells from menu items like the Chesapeake Oyster dish, charbroiled with crabmeat and Old Bay, to go back into the bay with the help of theOyster Recovery Partnership.

The Yard’s beverage program also deserves recognition, most notably the addition of a modern, self-service beer and wine wall and “Yard Card” program. The Wall, as it will be called, will feature rotating wine and beers, highlighting kegs from some of Baltimore’s top emerging craft breweries including Full Tilt, Pendulum, DuClaw and Heavy Seas.

New Bank of America ATM at Royal Farms

Sometimes it’s the little things that can make your life much easier.  Though insignificant to anyone who doesn’t bank at Bank of America, the Royal Farms at 1440 Key Hwy. has installed a full-service Bank 0f America ATM machine in their parking lot.  Now Bank of America customers have place to make deposits with free and ample parking in South Baltimore.
