TinoTino

Hi, my name is Tino!  I’m a little over 3 years old, and I’ve been told I’m just a joy to be around. The volunteers love to take me for a walk – I’m very easy on the leash and excited to have a companion.  I love nothing more than some good back rubs, and I’ll wiggle my whole body with excitement!  You should also see me in the play yard – I’m a quick learner on the agility equipment and I can’t wait to show you my tricks!  Please come to BARCS to meet me today!

Brownie_Sue_1Brownie Sue

Hi, I’m Brownie Sue and I’m a very friendly and affectionate girl!  The volunteers also say I’m sweet and lovingly call me “chubby chick”, even though I’m really just a big girl. I might be 5 years old but I still have lots of energy and playfulness (check out my online video), yet am past all the puppy nonsense.  I’d love to show you how I “sit” on command for a treat – I love treats!  Please come visit me at BARCS and let me show you just how much love I have for the lucky family that takes me home.

AshtonAshton

Hi, I’m Ashton, and I’m a handsome 5½ year old boy.  I was very fearful and unsure when I first came to the shelter, but I’ve relaxed as I’ve made new friends.  I happily greet the staff with wiggles and kisses, and I really enjoy when they give me chewy treats.  The volunteers say I’m silly outside!  I love to romp around the play yard and chase tennis balls.  I’m a little on the chubby side, but I do my best to scale the A frame.  I’m dog-friendly with both males and females – I’ve been  very well-behaved with my new friends.  I am used to living in a home, and I’m waiting hopefully for you to come meet me at BARCS.

Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations.  If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230.  For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi.  BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.

For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact Joe at [email protected] or visit the website.  If you are interested in fostering, please contact [email protected].  If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the BARCS website.
