Federal Hill Main Street Release:

Celebrate the Holidays Federal Hill Style!

The week begins with Festive Flavors, on Tuesday, Dec. 9th, 6-10 pm. This is our neighborhood’s night of progressive holiday fun; each ticket includes a tour of seven food and drink stops. Attendees can sign up as individuals or groups of up to 30. Everyone meets at the Cross Street Market, when they receive their itineraries. Groups then discover new neighborhood spots and visit some of their Federal Hill favorites as they stop at seven different places for tasty treats and an evening of food, drink and fun. Tickets are $55 and include food and beverages. For more information, click here.

Everyone’s favorite shopping event, MOONLIGHT MADNESS, is Friday, December 12th, 8 pm to midnight. You will want to visit the many locally owned shops, galleries and businesses throughout Federal Hill that are staying open late and offering specials, discounts, and refreshments. You can find unique and thoughtful gifts for everyone on your list. From fashionable clothing and accessories to creative home goods and attractive linens, and those sought-after gifts that celebrate our city and our neighborhood, there are wonderful holiday finds here in Federal Hill!

Federal Hill Main Street is open until midnight with refreshments and free gift wrapping. Stop by before you shop for a map to lead you to participating businesses. The office will also be the place to drop off your raffle tickets to win a basket of fabulous Federal Hill goodies. Tickets will be available at participating merchants, so the more you shop, the more chances you will have to win!

The evening starts off with a fun for all ages Tree Lighting at 7pm. This neighborhood tradition is brought to you by Federal Hill Neighborhood Association and Federal Hill Main Street, and is sponsored by Stadium Square. Join us at 7 pm at the Digital Harbor Foundation Tech Center Park at Cross and Light Streets for some caroling, hot chocolate & cookies, and a visit from Santa himself! Kids are invited to make a decoration for the tree. These can be dropped off in advance at Main Street, or bring them with you and we’ll put it on the tree during the lighting ceremony.

Santa will also make an appearance the next day, Saturday, December 13th, at the Cross Street Market. He will be there from 12 noon until 4pm, ready for pictures (bring your own camera). There will be crafts and activities for the kids, as well, to make it an afternoon of holiday fun for the family.
