Hi, I’m 2 year old Ace! The folks here say I’m handsome, but I’m not just a pretty face – I have brains, too! I’ve already learned “sit,” “paw,” and “touch” in one training session! I’ll do anything for cookies, and I really want to please my handler, so training me is fun. I also enjoy playing with the other dogs here. Please stop by BARCS to meet me soon!

Hi, I’m 4 ½ year old Bobo! I’m a sweet boy that just loves affection from my human friends. I love to go for walks, but when I pass by a bench I like to hop right up and cuddle up to you. It makes me so happy that my tail won’t stop wagging. I also enjoy spending time with the other dogs here. I’m just an all-around friendly guy! Please stop by BARCS and ask for me!

Hi, I’m 2 year old Mazapan! The folks here say I’m such a sweetheart! I’m so cuddly and I LOVE to snuggle. I recently attended an adoption event in Federal Hill and I was so well behaved. I said hello to everyone who walked by, and made lots of new friends. I also have fun spending time with the other dogs here at the shelter. Please stop by BARCS and meet me today!

Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations.  If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230.  For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi.  BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.

For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact info@baltimoreanimalshelter.org or visit the website.  If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org.  If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the BARCS website.
