Sagamore Development launched, the official website for its mixed-use Port Covington development in South Baltimore, along with its new Build Port Covington Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.

Sagamore also recently unveiled a Master Plan for all 266 acres of Port Covington. In the plan, the acreage was broken down as a 50-acre campus for Under Armour; 76 acres of mixed-use real estate development; 114 acres of public realm between parks, infrastructure, and open space; and, an existing 26-acre NGK-Locke, Inc. facility which Sagamore does not own. Sagamore currently owns 161 acres in Port Covington from recent acquisitions, which it described as 85% of the private parcels.

The new website features information about the development as well as a never-seen-before rendering of Port Covington showing seven new towers in addition to the three planned for Under Armour’s campus, as well as many parks and mid-size buildings.

Sagamore also introduced a new video on Facebook coined as “We will build it together,” which is also the final line of the piece. The video calls Port Covington the next chapter, mentions keeping one of the fastest growing companies in the world (Under Armour) in Baltimore, and praises Baltimore’s perseverance and resiliency.

Along with the Port Covington Master Plan, more details have emerged recently with Sagamore’s presentations about West End and Hanover Street, East Waterfront Park, and Under Armour’s campus at the Urban Design & Architecture Review Panel (UDARP).

Already completed at Port Covington is City Garage, “a hub for manufacturing, innovation and entrepreneurship” at a former Baltimore City garage at 101 W. Dickman St., as well as the conversion of the former Sam’s Club at the former Port Covington Shopping Center into a 170,000 sq. ft. office building for Under Armour, the first project at the new campus. Currently under construction is Sagamore Spirit, a distillery and campus for the new rye whiskey company at 301 E. Cromwell St.

Sagamore has also begun landscaping improvements to the area.

Under Armour CEO and Founder Kevin Plank is a founder and partner of Sagamore Development, which described Port Covington as one of the largest urban renewal projects in America.
