The former Rams Head Live music venue at 20 Market Pl. at Power Plant Live! will become Nevermore Hall this summer. Rams Head Live, which was owned by AEG, held its final shows last December after 20 years in Baltimore.
Nevermore Hall is a new concept by the local ownership group behind Baltimore Soundstage, a smaller live music venue located across the street from Power Plant Live! at 124 Market Pl.
From a press release:
With its name nodding to Baltimore’s most famous literary son, Edgar Allan Poe, Nevermore Hall is set to be more than a venue—it’s a tribute to the city’s deep artistic roots and relentless creative energy. It will feature new state-of-the-art production capabilities, reimagined interiors, and a renewed commitment to hosting the best in live entertainment. Nevermore Hall is poised to become a new cornerstone of culture in Charm City.
The revitalized space will feature multiple bars, expanded VIP areas, and fresh, immersive Nevermore Hall-themed décor that blends gothic elegance with modern edge—an aesthetic homage to the venue’s namesake and Baltimore’s rich artistic legacy.
“Nevermore Hall is our love letter to the legacy of this space and to Baltimore itself,” said Mike O’Brien and Dave Adams Jr. of Nevermore Hall in a press release. “We’re carrying the torch forward by blending the soul of Rams Head Live! with a fresh vision that puts artists, fans, and the community first. This isn’t just a new venue—it’s a rebirth.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome Nevermore Hall to Baltimore’s vibrant live music scene and expand our longtime partnership with Baltimore Soundstage by coming on as the booking partner for this reimagined venue,” said Kelly Flanigan, regional president for Live Nation, in a press release.
“Nevermore Hall’s opening at Power Plant Live! is incredibly exciting for the district and all of Baltimore,” said Anthony Matteo, director of operations of Power Plant Live!, in a press release. “As a premier destination for music and entertainment for over 25 years, Power Plant Live! has long been a hub for unforgettable experiences and the best in local, regional and national performances.”
Rams Head Live hosted acts such as James Brown, Wu Tang Clan, The B-52’s, Public Enemy, The Beastie Boys, Billy Idol, Earth Wind & Fire, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Kendrick Lamar. It had a capacity of 1,500.
Baltimore Soundstage will remain open and the ownership team will operate both venues.
