From a Baltimore Orioles press release:
Today, the Maryland Stadium Authority approved plans for upgrades to Oriole Park at Camden Yards which include: a new center field videoboard, right field wall display, upper deck and club level ribbon boards, and a unified control room.
The new center field videoboard will be two and a half times larger than the existing videoboard, making it the 12th largest videoboard among Major League Baseball stadiums. In total, there will be 1,125 feet of new ribbon board and 16,681,456 new pixels added throughout Camden Yards, all featuring 4K resolution.
The enhancements, scheduled to begin following the 2025 season and be operational for 2026, will help us better connect fans to the gameday experience.
Fans can learn more and follow along with the renovations at Orioles.com/OrioleParkUpgrades. Renderings of the new videoboard are attached, courtesy of the Baltimore Orioles.
This past offseason the Orioles installed a new left field wall that created a larger Bird Bath section as well as the new Home Run Porch. The new left field wall is shorter and closer to home plate than the previous wall.
The new wall and proposed video bards come as the Orioles will soon embark on a much larger renovation of Oriole Park at Camden Yards with the ability to spend up to $600 million in taxpayer-financed bonds. No timeline has been set yet to begin the renovations (outside of the new video boards), however more permanent changes are likely coming to left field. One idea proposed in a fan survey was a “Field Level Lounge” beyond the outfield fence.
Other ideas floated in the survey include a larger “Family Zone,” an in-stadium museum, a “Crab Shack,” a “Membership Club” for dining, and a social patio in the upper deck called “The Nest.”
