Special Valentine’s Open House Event

The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) is having a special Valentine’s Day Open House Adoption event on February 14-17. Visit BARCS at 301 Stockholm Street in Baltimore City and steal a heart out of our Valentine’s Day basket. Everyone is a winner, with specials like $10 special adoption fee, free micro chipping, free cat carrier and free leash or collar.

BARCS has hundreds of wonderful adoptable cats and dogs from which to choose. If you are looking for love this Valentine’s Day, please adopt a shelter pet from BARCS. It’s a win-win for you, your family and our pets!

BARCS is open to the public on Monday – Friday from 2pm -6pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 4pm.


 BARCS, the largest companion animal shelter in Maryland, takes in almost 12,000 dogs and cats a year, plus over 800 exotic wildlife and small mammals. A non-profit organization, BARCS has saved over 50,000 animals over the past seven years. On average, 250 animals are living at BARCS, over 200 are being cared for in foster care and roughly 35 new animals arrive at the shelter daily.
