Hello, my name is Millie. I arrived at BARCS as a stray over a month ago. I’m a 7 year old terrier mix. The volunteers here call me a love bug, and say that I’m just an overall super girl. I’m very happy to take a walk with you and just hang out, and I absolutely love being outside! I’m working on my leash skills so that I’m ready to take wonderful walks with my forever family. I like to show my caretakers my affection, and I’m very sweet, but I’m not an “in your face” kisser. Because I’m considered a senior, my adoption fee is waived. Please come see me, and give me a comfortable place to call home…a shelter is no place for an older gal.
Hi everybody, my name is Blake! I’m an adorable 1 year old terrier mix. I love, love, love people!! I also love to play with the other dogs here in play group. I’m the kind of guy who will sit calmly for belly rubs and then run by your side when it’s time to play. I walk well on the leash, I’m housetrained, and I know sit. I’m still just a pup, and would love for someone to take me home and teach me even more so that I can be the best boy I can be. Please visit BARCS soon and take me home. The shelter is no place for a young boy like me, and I’m getting very frustrated – I want to be in my forever home!
Hi, I’m Willie Nelson! I’m a cheerful, 2 year old terrier mix. I’m a gentle boy that’s great on the leash. I’m always excited to have some time outside, and I love when someone shows up at my kennel door to take me for a walk. I have good manners, and I’m very polite when I take a treat. The volunteers call me a little gentleman! I also like to give kisses if you let me. I’m a little frightened around some dogs, so I need a slow introduction if there are other dogs around. I’ve been here at the shelter for too long, and really want to find my forever family so I won’t be sad anymore.
Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations. If you would like to meet these pups, please contact Joe Miletti at JMiletti@barcsanimalshelter.org. If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org. If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media.
