Lara1Lara

Hi, I’m Lara, and I’m a 1 ½ year old relaxed and gentle girl.  I like to play and go for walks, but I’m happy no matter what I’m doing as long as there is a human with me!  When my human friends come to my kennel to visit, I wag my tail in anticipation of attention.  When they come inside I wait patiently to be pet, and then I give sweet, thankful kisses.  I also have a great time playing with my dog friends here at the shelter, that is so much fun!  Please come down today and meet me, I’m anxiously awaiting my forever home.

Rocky JugoRocky

Hello! My name is Rocky (Jugo) and I am one gentle giant! I am calm and very friendly. I love exploring the play yard here at the shelter and have even conquered the daunting A-frame! I also love to play fetch with my human friends and I will bring the ball back and drop it right at your feet!  I also know “sit” and “down,” so I’m quite smart, in addition to being sweet and charming, and I will woo you with my gentle kisses! Some would even say I’m the complete package! If you want a distinguished 4 year old gentleman as a companion, then I’m certainly your top dog! Won’t you please come down to BARCS and meet me today?

CedarCedar

Hi, I’m Cedar, and I’m a sweet, 1 ½ year old girl.  I don’t mean to brag, but one of the volunteers here called me “a true gem in the World of Dogs at BARCS.” I am very patient and calm in my kennel awaiting my turn to go out for a walk. Once outside, I’m easy to walk on the leash, and I enjoy strolling along and receiving any attention you give me. I also love to play with my dog friends.  I pay close attention to my human friends and would be easy to train. I would love for you to come see me at BARCS and give me the forever home that I so deserve!

Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations.  If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230.  For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi.  BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.

For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact Joe at JMiletti@barcsanimalshelter.org or visit the website.  If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org.  If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the  BARCS website.
