Diesel1Diesel

Hi!  My name is Diesel, I’m 2 ½ years old, and I’m quite a sweet, gentle, and smart boy!  I have to brag that I have very good leash manners.  I don’t pull and I calmly walk right along with you.  I even know how to be polite at doors – I sit on command and patiently wait for you to open the door and let me know when it’s okay to exit.  The volunteers say I’m very “obedient”, whatever that means.  I just know I’m a very good boy and will try my very best to please you.  And I have to mention that I’m quite the lover too!  I like to snuggle close to you and lavish you with kisses!  I recently went tailgating and I was very well behaved!  I’m very friendly and playful with the other dogs here.  Please come visit me at BARCS and let me show you just what a fantastic addition I would make for any family! Why, hello there! My name is Peter Parker and people tell me that I’m a fantastic 1 year old pup! I love playing with my doggie friends here at the shelter and get along with everyone I meet, humans and pups alike! I love to run around and romp in the play yard, but I also really love to spread my lovins to the humans as well! I’m quite the kisser and will wiggle my way right into your lap to show you my affection! I recently went to 2 events and was very well behaved – everyone loved me! I also already know how to sit and am quite smart, so teaching me new commands should be a piece of cake! I’m very gentle and take treats softly from my friends who are nice enough to give them to me! If you’re looking for a well-behaved, friendly, outgoing, and loving companion to add to your home, then look no further, because I’m your dude! Won’t you come meet me at BARCS today?   (http://www.petango.com/Adopt/Dog-Terrier-Pit-Bull-Mix-21514043)

MacAuthurMacArthur

Hi, my name’s MacArthur!  I’m a 1½ year old boy that absolutely loves playing fetch, and I’m pretty good at it.  Check out my online video, I’m really fast!   After I’ve had my playtime, I like to snuggle up for some loving and chin scratches – I’m a big sweetheart!  I’d love an active family that enjoys to play with me and teach me new things, and then snuggle up with me at the end of the day.  While I’m waiting for my forever home I’m spending my time wisely here, and learning some new commands like ‘sit’ and ‘drop it.’  I can’t wait to show you – please come to BARCS to meet me today!  (http://www.petango.com/Adopt/Dog-Terrier-Pit-Bull-Mix-21338521)

Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations.  If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230.  For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi.  BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.

For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact Joe at JMiletti@barcsanimalshelter.org or visit the website.  If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org.  If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the BARCS website.
