At approximately 7 pm on Wednesday, March 12th, 1418 Cooksie St. in Locust Point, which was currently being rebuilt, collapsed to the ground. No injuries were reported in the incident, but a Chevrolet Trailblazer that was parked adjacent to the house was crushed by the debris.

1418 Cooksie St. caught fire on January 7th, causing damage to adjacent 1416 Cooksie St. During the incident, five people were injured, including two civilians and three firefighters. Two firefighters suffered injuries from burns and the third suffered smoke inhalation and injuries from a fall.

1418 Cooksie St. is the home of longtime Locust Point residents Carl Adkins, Cora Burns and their family. A fund (HelpAdkinsFamily.com) has been set up to help the family.
