Andre Street in Locust Point Partially Closed Until Mid-April

| March 1, 2024 | 0 Comments

The 1500 block of Andre St., which is one of a few exits/entrances to the Locust Point peninsula and one of the main access points to I-95 and Rt. 2, will be partially closed until mid-April. Drivers can go north on the 1500 block of Andre St. coming off McComas St., but the block is closed to southbound traffic off E. Fort Ave.

From Baltimore City Department of Transportation Public Relations Officer Kathy Dominick:

The 1500 block of Andre Street in Locust Point is partially closed for conduit work by BGE, which includes the rebuilding of a manhole located at the intersection of Andre Street and Fort Avenue. The location of the manhole requires a lane closure along Fort Avenue and a partial closure of Andre Street while the work is being performed. Work is expected to be complete in mid-April, weather and construction schedules permitting.

The intersection of Andre St. and E. Fort Ave. is currently right turn-only for northbound drivers on Andre St.
