Gym Closes at Tide Point

The Under Armour Performance Center gym by FX Well has closed at Tide Point in Locust Point. While the gym was in Under Armour’s now-former headquarters, memberships were available to the public. Under Armour Performance Center still has locations Downtown and in Hunt Valley.

There is a 30,000 sq. ft. fitness center at Under Armour’s new TMB2 building at its new Baltimore Peninsula campus, but that is not open to the public.

Under Armour is “continuing to evaluate the future of our Tide Point properties.”

Two Businesses Open at 10 N. Calvert St.

Restauranteur Mark Anthony Walker of Sphere Restaurant Group has opened two new businesses at the 10 N. Calvert St. building Downtown. This includes “a speakeasy” called Panther Bar and Tuscan Italian-themed cafe DAI!

From Baltimore Business Journal:

Panther Bar is marked by three panther heads above a blacked-out door by the entrance to the Charles Center Station. The roughly 45-seat bar will feature small plates like fingerling potatoes and shishito peppers as well as cocktails, including “the Nocturnal” with elderflower and absinthe and a smoked old fashioned. The modern, industrial bar also has a liquor locker, allowing customers to buy a bottle of alcohol and keep it there for future use.

DAI! offers Tuscan cuisine such as pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches; freshly baked pastries and desserts; juices and smoothies; and a coffee and espresso menu.

Walker opened sports bar FLOCK in Pigtown in January.

‘T. Rowe Price’ Now on the Inner Harbor Skyline

If you are looking across the Inner Harbor from South Baltimore, you will now see “T. Rowe Price” on top of one of its new office buildings at Harbor Point in Fells Point. The financial company is set to move from Downtown to its new headquarters in the near future.

Sagamore Spirit Now Offer a 100% Maryland-Made Whiskey

Sagamore Spirit, which first opened its South Baltimore distillery in 2017, now has a 100% Maryland-made whiskey called Sagamore Small Batch Rye Whiskey. Sagamore Spirit owns Sagamore Farm in Reisterstown and distills its whiskey at its Baltimore Peninsula distillery campus.

From a press release:

Sagamore Small Batch is made from 100% Maryland-distilled rye whiskey, using grains sourced through Sagamore Spirits’ Farm-to-Table process. The expression is a blend of the brand’s innovative triple distilled high rye and low rye mash bills. It then matures for four to six years, before being blended into small 20-barrel batches. The result is a robust 93-proof (46.5% alc./vol.) expression that achieves a smooth yet complex flavor profile.
