The Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore Release:

The Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore & Baltimore City Recreation & Parks are offering Inner Harbor Kayaking Tours. Departing from the Maryland Science Center Water Taxi landing, participants will explore the Inner Harbor by kayak – getting a one-of-a-kind view of the City’s skyline, historic ships and restoration projects Like Mr. Trash Wheel and the floating wetlands.

“The Baltimore waterfront is a highlight of our city, and we are excited to be adding a fun and unique opportunity for residents and tourists to enjoy it.” said Laurie Schwartz, president of Waterfront Partnership. “Our hope is that people will get out and experience the waterfront and then will be motivated to do more to support its cleanup.”

Tours will be offered every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. beginning April 30 and will run through October. Tickets are $20 for Baltimore City residents and $30 for non-residents with 20% of ticket sales going towards Waterfront Partnership’s Healthy Harbor initiative, which works to make the Harbor safe for swimming and fishing.

Tours will be led by Baltimore City Recreation and Parks. There are 15 spots available per tour, and participants must be 13 years or older to participate. Tours are weather dependent and guests will be issued a full refund should their tour be cancelled due to weather related issues.
