Off-Duty Officer Stabbed on 1100 Block of Race Street

From Baltimore City Police Department Southern District Major Ian Dombroski:

Saturday prior to 11 p.m. in the 1100 block of Race Street an off-duty officer was approached by an unidentified black male in a black hoodie. The unidentified man asked the off duty officer for change to which the officer said he had none. The man stabbed the officer in the leg and the officer discharged his gun at the suspect who then fled on foot. Detectives are investigating. Officer was treated for minor injuries and released from hospital . As more information develops we will keep you updated.
