New Homes Planned for Clarkson Street and Ropewalk Lane

Local developer Aaron Stubbs is planning 11 new-construction townhomes in South Baltimore/Sharp-Leadenhall at 49 W. West St. and 101  W. Ropewalk Ln. at the current site of a vacant warehouse and open lot. The site is located behind the Papa John’s on Hanover St. Of the 11 townhomes planned, six will be facing Clarkson St. and five will be facing Ropewalk Ln.

The front of the homes will feature a one-car garage and Stubbs is offering buyers the option to install a car lift so two cars can fit in the garages. The homes will be 14-15 feet wide, 40-50 feet deep, and three stories high with a fourth story pop-up for rooftop access. The homes will have a brick front and feature two to three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms.

About three to four parking spots will be added to the street as curb cuts on West St., which provided access to the current warehouse, will be removed.

The South Baltimore Neighborhood Association (SBNA) unanimously supported the project. Stubbs has a February 25th zoning hearing with the Baltimore City Board of Municipal Zoning Appeals (BMZA).
